Meditation on Ezekiel 37
O Lord,
you who can breathe life
into the driest of bones
bleaching on the desert's floor,
have mercy on us.
Let these bones live,
bones of the children you made,
led into the wastes by the enemy,
lost in the desert, chasing mirages
until parched from the lack
of Your living water,
they fall.
Let these bones live.
Breathe on them with Your Spirit,
Let we who love you
be the carriers of your living water,
sharing it wherever we go.
And wherever it touches,
may the desert in men's hearts
bloom
with the radiance that comes only from You.
Amen.
